Lebanon Fire Department- Established in 1872
About Us

The Lebanon Fire Department is a career department consisting of 26 members. At station 11, 975 Lasley Drive, there is a 5 man crew consisting of a Battalion Chief, Lieutenant and 3 privates. The Chief and Deputy Chief are also housed at Station 11, which is Headquarters for the Lebanon Fire Department.

Lebanon Fire Department Station 11 at 975 Lasley Drive was completed in 2011.  The below photograph was taken in front of our old station 1 at 201 East Main Street that we were in since the 1960's.  We have since reloated to a new, state of the art Public Safety Building located at 975 Lasley Drive.  This new facility, named Station 11, houses the Fire Department Administration Offices as well.

Here is a view of our old station.  This is now a parking and maintenance area from Police Cars and is part of the downtown Lebanon Police Department.

Ladder 12

MFG 2008
GVW unknown
Spartan Gladiator chassis with a Rosenbauer Viper-Central Body
1500 GPM pump
400 Gallons water
In- Service 2008
Class A Pumper/Aerial combination w/ a 75 foot ladder

Ladder 12 was custom built by Rosenbauer Fire Apparatus and is housed at Station 11.  It was originally at station 12 because our old station 1 had doors too short to back this vehicle in the station!  With the construction of our new Station 11 at 975 Lasley Drive. this problem was eliminated so the Aerial is now centrally located within the City Limits of Lebanon and must closer to the Industrial park.  This aerial was built to replace the old Aerial 12, a retired Pike Twp. apparatus, which was 35 years old when retired.  This apparatus will be the first out for all runs requiring elevated operations.  The apparatus has a 4 man cab and is equipped with all the necessary equipment to be an attack pumper and aerial.  The aerial carries a full compliment of hose, ladders and equipment, air packs and extra bottles, it also carries extrication equipment and other equipment needed for extrication.  The single axel design gives this piece of equipment real versatility in our smaller access areas. This aerial also has a Thermal Imaging camera, gas detector, and minimal Hazmat supplies. This Apparatus is used for all daily duties such as, Public Education, and Inspections.

LEBANON FIRE DEPARTMENT AERIAL 12 WORKING

Also housed at Station 11 is our ATV for off road medical emergencies and for use in crowds that we encounter at the many festivals and especially for our huge week long 4th of July celebration!  We also have a nice trail system from Lebanon to Thorntown on which this ATV would be invaluable.  Another trail system is planned from Zionsville to Lebanon.    We also house our Fire Prevention Trailer at Station 11.
